Playing in Pyongyang

Skating is the latest craze in DPRK and we saw kids inline-skating everywhere, not just in Central Pyongyang, but even all the way out in Nampo. We are told that Marshall Kim Jong Eun provided skates to all children and built many skate parks for the enjoyment of the children and adults. Certainly, we saw children skating in every patch of reasonably smooth ground they could find.

  • Sigh. Hopefully the little girl has already learnt to ignore the propaganda poster "The time for the Great War of Unifcation has come. Destroy the enemy !"

Skating in Nampo

Kids skating even on relatively rough pavements in Nampo. Not sure what game the boys are playing.
